About ASSOC PDF Print
  • We endeavour to provide career, academic and social services to actuarial students through the organization of events, specially catering to the students needs.
  • We are active in enhancing the premium Actuarial degree program offered by Macquarie University by closely working with the Actuarial Department on various fronts.
  • We constantly look for new and innovative ways to meet the needs of the students more appropriately.
  • We are a student society who depend on volunteering students in helping to organise and run events as well as for the contribution of ideas.

     



    We are ASSOC, the Actuarial Students' Society at Macquarie University.

    Over the years, ASSOC has been highly successful in evolving with our Members. We are delighted on the fact that ASSOC is understood to be one of the most successful and recognised Commerce student bodies at Macquarie University. We have been known as the innovative Actuarial Society. With enormous support from our Members and friends, the Department of Actuarial Studies and our sponsors; we are glad to see that many of our events are of mutual benefit to all parties involved.

    • We work to achieve holistic development for everyone involved in ASSOC and the wider Actuarial student community. By improving each aspect of ourselves – professionalism, career skills, integrity, social engagement, sporting ability, physical well-being, creativity and academic progress – we contribute to the 'total' learning experience of a well-rounded individual. Constructive suggestions, multiculturalism, global perspectives and taking responsibility for our actions allow such development.

  • Committed to the Community

    • We strive for excellence in helping Actuarial students and our broader community through charity and through offering our time and skills. We treat everyone as we treat each other – acting with compassion, understanding openness and honesty.

  • Fun

    • Above all else, we believe in having fun. By focusing on what is best about every moment, by celebrating our achievements, we enjoy life and all it has to offer.


    We believe that by committing to our values, we can work to create a fun, successful culture that benefits everyone involved. Ultimately, it is by setting such high beliefs as a standard that we  improve and develop.
